Want to extend your UAE visit visa? Here’s how you can do it online through ICA

Dubai: Are you visiting the United Arab Emirates and want to extend your stay a little longer? Visitors to the United Arab Emirates can extend their visit visa directly through the online platforms of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICA).

In an article posted on its official social media channels, the ICA promoted the service that individuals can access online, either through the website – ica.gov.ae – or through the app, available to individuals. Android and Apple devices – “ICA UAE”.

Step 1: Create an online account with ICA

You can create an account on the ICA website or app by registering as a new user. You will need to provide your email address and set a password. The account can be configured by following the link here: https://beta.smartservices.ica.gov.ae/echannels/web/client/default.html#/registration/type/1/verify

Step 2: request the service

Under “Individual services”, select the service for “Extension of visit visa”.

Step 3: Pay the service charge

Once you have filled in the details, you will need to pay the service charge. The amount will depend on the type of visa you are on and the length of the extension. According to the ICA website, here are the types of visas that can be extended through the online platform:

1. Multiple entry tourist visa for citizens of certain countries – Dh650.

2. Indian citizens with US, UK and EU residence visas – Dh250

3. Six-month multiple visa to finalize Golden Visa procedures (https://gulfnews.com/living-in-uae/visa-immigration/six-month-uae-entry-permit-for-golden-visa-applicants – all you need to know-1.1617539520608) – Dh1,150

4. Five-year multiple entry tourist visa – Dh400
