“That’s the Big Pumpkin Charlie Brown” to air on Arkansas PBS

The classic TV show “It’s the big Charlie Brown pumpkin” will be broadcast for free on Texarkana this year.

This vacation special is one of my all-time favorites and it was taken off regular TV last year and was only available on Apple Tv. ABC was the place to find the show for years and after the show was taken down, a lot of people like me were wondering why they had taken the show off local free TV.

Fear not, you will be able to watch this classic show for free this year on your local PBS station. In Texarkana, if you are on Sparklight, it will be on channel 9. If you are streaming your TV, you just need to search for the PBS or PBS kids channel to find the show.

“It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” is scheduled to air on PBS and PBS Kids on October 24 at 6:30 am. This is my favorite scene on the show as Charlie Brown tries to kick the football around as Lucy pulls it off at the last minute.

Arkansas PBS will have a similar arrangement with other Charlie Brown specials. “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” will air Sunday, November 21 at 6:30 p.m., and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will air Sunday, December 19 at 6:30 p.m.

There is one thing that I found quite interesting. You cannot broadcast this special anywhere. It’s not available on Amazon, Netflix, or even Hulu. It is available for purchase. It is part of the Peanuts Holiday collection.
