Springfield’s Doggy Style Hot Dog Food Truck Goes Weird With Toppings


A revamped food truck that serves many types of hot dogs is gaining popularity in Springfield.

Owners Jeremy and Tambera Mathis unveiled the new “Doggy Style” food truck in mid-April. Doggy Style offers traditional hot dogs, but it’s really known for loading hot dogs with crazy toppings.

Jeremy Mathis has 20 years of restaurant management experience. He said he jumped at the chance to buy the Doggy Style food truck when he saw it for sale in February. He then put his own touch on the menu.

Doggy Style serves many different hot dogs named after dog breeds, but here are a few that are the most popular: The K9 is topped with bacon crumbs, jalapenos, cream cheese, and cheese. peppered ; and the Beagle comes with peanut butter, grape jelly and bacon crumbs.

The list goes on with many popular dog breed names, and all of these different styles of hot dogs can be purchased separately or as a combo.

Mathis said he added dog breeds as hot dog names to have fun with.

“We see most of the traditional hot dogs with the usual toppings, but why not put some different stuff in there? »Says Jérémy Mathis. “I didn’t think hot dogs like the Beagle would be as big as they are here, but people love it.”
