Clever Texas mobile veterinary clinic rolls out plans for Dallas expansion

An innovative Houston company has closed a new round of funding in hopes of rolling out its service statewide.

Rockin ‘Pets, Rollin’ Vets, a full-service Houston-based mobile veterinary clinic, closed a $ 5 million capital raise with plans to expand statewide. Founded by company CEO Dr Katie Eick, Rollin ‘Vets Group is changing the game of pet health care by bringing vets to their patients’ homes.

This new funding helps Eick take the first step towards expansion. According to a press release, Rockin ‘Pets, Rollin’ Vets plans to be in Dallas and Austin by March of next year.

“This capital increase allows us not only to hire additional talent, but also to increase our fleet of mobile clinics, while expanding into other cities at an accelerated pace. There is a huge opportunity to serve animals and people in need of non-traditional veterinary care in other Texas markets. We are ready to tap into these markets and bring practical, advanced care directly to pet owners, ”Eick said in the release.

Currently, the company has five mobile units made up of seven veterinarians and 12 qualified veterinary technicians. Company capabilities include wellness and illness exams, in-house labs, radiology, end-of-life care, routine surgeries, laser therapy, and dental procedures, all within the region. of Greater Houston.

Last year, the company raised $ 1 million in angel investing and crowdfunding on NextSeed. Patrick Lewis, chief financial officer of Rollin ‘Vets, said in the statement that the capital had been raised by a number of people, many of whom had already invested in the pet care industry.

Eick founded his company in 2015 and has seen steady growth as delivery and on-demand services like Uber and DoorDash increased usage and awareness of mobile services. Eick previously told InnovationMap that the pandemic has really cemented the efficiency of mobile services.

Although the company is currently focused on expanding into Texas, Eick has been planning to expand even more widely for some time.

“We aim to be a national brand,” Eick told InnovationMap.
